INVITATION FOR THE WORKING GROUP TRAINING FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF SFSCs
SUBJECT: WORKING GROUP TRAINING FOR ESTABLISMENT OF SFSCs
I am pleased to invite you to the Working group training that will be held as part of the „AgriShort- Establishing short food supply chains and competitive agricultural sector in the cross-border region through institutional cooperation“ funded by Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020.
Working group training will be held on January 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Technology - innovation center Međimurje, Bana Josipa Jelačića 22 B, Čakovec (former military complex).
Training topic will be „How to start with the establishment of SFSCs and how to help farmers to start to work together“. The main goal of working group training will be education of representatives of institutions, companies, caterers itd. who are supporting farmers, have already experience in cooperation with them or have some background knowledge which can be useful during the establishment of SFSCs.
Working group training will take Mrs. Katalin Kujáni, Researcher, Short food supply chain advisor.
Working group agenda:
• What is the difference between SFSC and direct selling (why collaboration)?
• My territory (what kind of territory) - why it is important to take in account?
• Short and long channels in rural areas.
• Who are my consumers?
• Who are the farmers/vendors and diversity of their products?
• What kind of SFSC could support local economy development that can be established based on local circumstances?
• Elaboration of own criteria system for farmers selection.
The working language for the training will be English, but because there will also be participants who do not speak well or do not speak English at all it will be provided language support for those participants.
